There is an edge of the Brdy forest just a few hundreds meters from us. This huge area is a paradise for bikers, you may find hundreds of kilometers of both marked and unmarked paths with different difficulties, everything in a beautiful nature. Several tracks are described below.
Track 1 - Pilák, Lázský lakeThis track is relatively short, it shouldn't take more the one hour and half. The track length is 15km, first of all climb to Pilák (Pilská lake), then turn left and after a few kilometers reach Lázský lake. Behind that just before entering village Láz turn sharp left and the path will lead you back to Pilák. Then right and return back to the guest-house.
Track 2 - Pilák, Obecnice, Maria's headspringThis track is more difficult and hilly. It's about 30km long and it will take up to 3 hours. Start going up to Pilák, then turn right and after a few kilometers reach village Obecnice. Here turn left and pass the lake, follow the road (light traffic here). Then turn left, pass the Maria's headspring and keep left to reach the Pilák again. We recommend GPS for this track.
Track 3 - Padrťské lakesThis track is also more difficult and contains several climbings. Its length is almost 40km, it may take up top 4 hours. This track will lead you to village Láz first, then continue to Nepomuk, pass quarry and continue to Padrťské lakes. On the way back you can chose the same path or continue along the marked path to the hill (a little worse terrain here). Then continue back to Pilák. We recommend GPS for this track.
Track 4 - To the hill TokThis track is difficult especially because of the terrain and the altitude of the target. As it reaches the highest hill in the whole area (865m) the track leads upwards all the time. It is only recommended for mountain bikes, the length slightly exceeds 20km. From Bohutin go to Pilák first, then right and after less then 1km left. Then straight on the red road, as soon as it starts to turn right use the turn left and continue going upwards. See dozens of anthills in the area. As soon as you reach the edge of the hill turn right and go 1km. At this moment you can either return or turn right on one of the paths (very difficult terrain possible) to see beautiful view.
